I would like to tell about my native home. I live in a small village Nicolaenko. It is my native village. It is situated not far from Apsheronsk, the centre of our district. It stands on River Tukha. The village is surrounded with a beautiful forest. Our place is rich with natural resources. Our nature is very picturesque in all seasons but especially in summer. There are many mushrooms and berries in the forest. You get many fruits and vegetables in summer and in autumn. There is also a small lake near the village. My classmates go fishing to the lake and to the river.

           My school was founded in 1996. This year we will celebrate the 15th anniversary of our school. Our sponsor Goncharov Victor Victorovich helped to build it. He is the chief of a famous company in our country. He gave our school a mini-bus as a present when we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our school. We are very thankful for his interest and attention to our school. He also helped our school to build the best tennis court and playground in our districts.

        Our village is getting better and better. I like it very much. I want Nicolaenko to be one of the most wonderful countryside of my Motherland. I want to be useful to my village. It is my dream and I hope one day it comes true.   

Once our school teacher offered our class to take part in an essay contest. This was the first composition that I was going to write in English. But it was not so easy as I believed. Coming home I thought for a long time. Then I decided to write about myself, about an ordinary girl who lives in a small village in the Caucasus.

My name is Elina. My surname is Kasparyan. I am a pupil of the 7th form. I go to School №30. I study different and interesting subjects at school. My favorite subjects are English, Physical Education and Mathematics. But English I like best of all. When I was in the 5th form, I took part in the international competition   «The British Bulldog» and I won first place in our district. I take part in our annual School subject’s competitions.  That’s why, I decided to try my abilities in writing of the composition in English.
